As part of the Blueways Ireland network of multi-activity trails for
paddling, walking and cycling, there are defined paddling trails along
the Shannon and Shannon-Erne.
These trails extend from either Lough Key or Lough Allen to Carrick-on-
Shannon, and onwards along the Shannon to Lanesborough.
They also extend along the Shannon-Erne from Leitrim Village to
Belturbet and towards Crom on the Erne System.
Boaters should be aware of small craft accessing the waters at the
Blueway Access Points shown, and show consideration for paddlers
travelling along the Blueway trails.
